Underway at first light – nautical twilight. Had to get going to make the first lock of the day at the South Mills entrance to the Dismal Swamp.
The mist on the water is always beautiful! Sometimes a little scary wondering whether or not it will get thicker or dissipate.
The water was so calm, it was hard to tell what was a reflection and what was real.
The Dismal Swamp is neither dismal nor swampy. It’s simple peaceful and beautiful!
